Bluelab 2020

BLUE LAB is Blueproject Foundation’s proposal for bringing contemporary art closer to children and young people. The workshops are developed based on the content of the exhibitions presented in the two rooms of the foundation, as well as the careers of the artists involved. Laura Llaneli will be the artist in charge of the BLUE LAB 2020 programme.

For this occasion, Laura Llaneli will direct the workshops to kids and teenagers between the ages of 8 and 14, with whom she will work both individually and collectively on expanding the universes and references of each artist, highlighting their sonic interpretations. Stemming from the themes that the artists propose for their exhibitions in both rooms of the foundation, different aspects of the sonic dimension will be considered, such as objects, the environment and voices, from the most fundamental and analogue to the most digital and immaterial.

There will be two workshops per exhibition (Saturdays from noon to 1:30pm). The sessions will be:

Laura Llaneli (Granada, 1986) studied music and a BA in Graphic Design. With a degree in Fine Arts and a Master in Sound Art from the University of Barcelona, she is a member of Sons de Barcelona, the Nenazas collective and the band Pradera. Among her awards are Art For Change 2019 (”la Caixa”), Premi Miquel Casablancas 2018, Premi Embarrat 2017 and Barcelona Producció 2014. She has exhibited in Casaplan (Valparaíso, Chile), Swinton & Grant (Madrid), ADN Platform - ADN Gallery (Sant Cugat del Vallès), galeria àngels barcelona, MMSU (Croatia), Art3 (France), Lo Pati (Amposta) and Fundació Antoni Tàpies (Barcelona), among others, and has carried out residences at Casa de Velázquez, Art3 Valence, Lo Pati, Balada, MMSU Rijeka, Estruch Sabadell and Hangar Barcelona. She currently works at the Salamina art space in Barcelona.
